Seriously Addictive Mathematics (S.A.M) is very excited to bring BizWorld holiday camps to centres in Mandurah, Wangara and Willetton during the upcoming school holidays.
A four day program for young Entrepreneurs (aged 8-14) to learn how to start and operate their own business. Learning real-life skills like applying for a job, marketing and advertising and pitching their ideas, these holiday camps are valuable for all students in any chosen career.
“BizWorld teaches children the basics of entrepreneurship, business, and finance in a hands-on manner. This project-based learning (PBL) program gives children the opportunity to learn firsthand how to start and operate their own business. Working in teams, students start, fund, and run their own company in the friendship bracelet industry.
The decisions that the companies make are entirely student-driven. The students decide everything from what to name their company to how many products to make and how much to charge for them!
During a Sales Bazaar, students sell their products (friendship bracelets) to their customers – don’t worry; no real money is involved! Students use the BizWorld monetary denomination, BizBucks.
Throughout BizWorld, students have multiple opportunities to practice leadership skills and hone their math and communication skills.”
Camps are run over 4 days, Monday – Thursday from 9am – 12:30pm. Two camps are scheduled: 18 – 21 December or 15 – 18 January (check your local centre for details).
Students form companies in groups, and should attend all days. Book your seat online today. The program is dependent on minimum enrolments being reached – interested parties will be notified of any changes.
We are looking forward to meeting our new Entrepreneurs.
