At State Swim we are constantly striving to ensure our swimming lessons cater for how children best learn the skills required to make them stronger, safer swimmers. Small class sizes, hands on instructors who are in the water with swimmers, clear verbal explanations of skills, demonstration of skills either by the instructor or by short skills videos on tablets, and manipulation of swimmers so they can feel the correct way to do a skill, grouped together, maximise a swimmers ability to learn the skills required in their lessons.
Revision is also a big part of our program. Our experience has shown that swimmers learn through a combination of reviewing previously learned skills so that these skills form a habit whilst also introducing new skills to keep the swimmer challenged, motivated and constantly learning.
We understand the importance of swimming lessons being accessible for people of all ages and abilities. This is evident in our main learn to swim programs, and it is also supported by the strength of other programs we offer including; SWIMVAC (school holiday program), adult lessons, lap swimming, aquarobics and our in-term swimming program for local schools.
